I am a love exile, I moved here from America to be with my partner, when it wasn’t possible to get married for same sex couples. It was much harder to migrate the other way, so we decided it would be better for me to move to the UK, as it was a bit more welcoming to LGBT people. I never thought I would end up in Britain, but after twenty years I feel quite at home in London. For the first ten years I wanted to go home, but I have stopped saying that now. I guess I have found a new home.
