My great grandparents on both sides escaped from Poland as the nazis invaded during the war. Most of their friends and family were taken to concentration camps, some even escaped there and had the number tattoos from their time in there. My grandparents and their friends struggled to get jobs in London due to their religion so they had to start their own businesses in fashion and jewellery.
