I moved here with my mum in 2015 from Moscow, Russia. My mother wanted me to finish school here and get a degree from one the world’s top universities so that I have more doors to go through when I grow up. People often still tell me that I don’t have Russian accent and sound so surprised at that. It obviously makes me happy to know that, but also saddens me a lot, because it somehow means that I’m losing touch with my Russian heritage, which I never want to happen!
