Larry’s Story
Left South African in 1976 when my father was jailed by the government for being a anti apartheid activist as he was at university with Nelson Mandela. He was released in 1978 and joined us in the UK. He was responsible for producing the first ant apartheid play called CALL ME MISTER and also bought EARTHA KIT to Johannesburg. They lived with us which was against the law in those days and caused all sort of problems for the authorities. He went back to SA when Nelson Mandela was released from prison and a amnesty was granted. I stayed in the UK and made a new live for myself.
