In 2018 it emerged that, despite the fact that they had come to the UK legally many decades before, many members of the Windrush Generation were being asked to prove their status. If they could not produce the right records, these people were being wrongly detailed, denied their rights and sometimes deported.

This article, ‘Talks rejected on ‘shameful’ treatment of Windrush generation’ depicts some of these people’s stories.
